AMC:] [2-17-11]
What we learned in todays reading that whether your rich or poor you'll do whatever you can to save a your pet. We also learned about how the topic sentence paragraph and how that sentence will tell you what to write for the rest of the paragraph. The topic sentence paragraph helped paragraphs 16 and 17 hold hands. We also learned about parallelism in the 15th paragraph. In paragraph 17 we are reminded that he is middle classed through the description of his living condition.
What we learned from the AMC site is that they have a Pet Loss Support Group. It was started by Ms. Ari Rosner. She holds these meetings at the AMC on the fifth floor at 6 P.M.

Reaction to part 1[2-15-11]
Our reaction to part one of ''The Last Meow'' was that it was filled with pathos. The first paragraph was filled descriptive writing all talking about how Lady looked. In the following paragraph Shawn Levering was introduced as middle class citizen. It is obvious that Levering cares for Lady because he had already payed for several surgeries but he questioned paying for her final surgery because Lady may not pull through, but in the end he goes through with it for the love of his wife.
It is hard for us to put ourselves in Levering's position because we've never had a pet that has had to go through so many surgeries, but if we were in that position we would have to look into our financial situation to come to a conclusion.

The Last Meow [2-10-11]
In today's lesson we read paragraph's two and three. We learned that to own the information in a book, you must have a pen in hand. In paragraphs two and three we learned tat they hold hands because the third paragraph starts with a pronoun that refers back to the second paragraph where they use his name.We also learned how to properly use a colon in a list. We learned that in order to remember something you must at least repeat it seven times. The last thing we learned was how descriptive writing creates images in the readers mind.

Prima&Michael 2-8-11
Prima:I have guppy & her name is Bubbles. One draw back to having her is that i have to constantly clean out her bowl or she could get sick. The reason I have her is because I like having something to come home to being able to call her my own.
Michael: I have a chihuahua and her name is Maya. She is white with black spots. One drawback of having the dog is that she barks when ever strangers come over. I like having her at home though because she will always love me.

The Last Meow
Prima and I think that "The Last Meow" is about the cats in anatomy and how they dissect them for a little learning experience. Is the euthenasia worth the knowledge?
We think this will be the story because before a cat dies it takes one last meow. It may talk about how and what they used to kill the cat.
